What This Resource Is

This is an original Irish drama resource licensed for use in Primary, Post-Primary, and SEN-inclusive educational settings.

All Samildanach Arts plays are designed as ensemble works, ensuring no individual pupil carries narrative, emotional, or performance responsibility.

Safeguarding & Classroom Authority

  • All activity is teacher-led

  • Participation is always voluntary

  • No physical contact is required

  • Teachers may pause, adapt, or stop the activity at any time

  • Pupils may step in or out without disrupting the work

All resources operate fully within standard school safeguarding policies.

SEN & Inclusion

This resource has been designed to support:

  • ADHD

  • Speech & language needs

  • Sensory regulation needs

  • Mixed-ability classrooms

Dialogue may be spoken, shared, echoed, narrated, replaced with movement, or observed.

No pupil is required to speak.

Each Samildanach Arts play includes tiered participation options, clearly signposted:

  • 🟢 Full speaking

  • 🟡 Movement / sound only

  • 🔵 Observation / props / support role

All participation modes are equally valid.

Performance Context

  • Non-commercial, school-controlled use only

  • Suitable for classrooms, assemblies, or halls

  • Calm presentation encouraged

  • Applause is optional and may be replaced with visual acknowledgement

No competitive or high-pressure performance expectations are built into the work.
