Annual Price Adjustment Policy
Long-Term Pricing Transparency
Samildanach Arts operates a predictable, school-friendly pricing model.
From 1st July 2027 onward, prices for licensed school plays may increase once per year only, by the lower of:
-
2%, or
-
the prevailing annual inflation rate on 1 July
If the inflation rate is below 2%, the lower rate applies.
If inflation is above 2%, the increase is capped at 2%.
What This Means in Practice
-
Maximum annual increase: 2%
-
Often less: If inflation is lower, the increase will be lower
-
Timing: 1st July only
-
No mid-year changes
-
Prices published in advance
If inflation is 0% or negative, no increase is applied.
What This Applies To
This policy applies to:
-
Individual play licences
-
Post-Primary bundles
-
Whole-school programme licences
It applies equally to new and returning schools.
What Will Never Happen
-
No sudden price spikes
-
No mid-year adjustments
-
No retroactive charges
-
No forced upgrades
-
No penalty for early adopters
Schools always retain the value of earlier purchases.
Why This Policy Exists
Schools need:
-
predictability
-
transparency
-
budget certainty
This approach allows Samildanach Arts to:
-
maintain inspection-grade documentation
-
update safeguarding and inclusion language as standards evolve
-
keep resources compatible with SEN and whole-school use
without exposing schools to unpredictable cost increases.
Clear Example
If a licence costs €100:
-
Inflation on 1st July is 1.2% → new price €101.20
-
Inflation on 1st July is 3.8% → new price €102.00 (capped at 2%)
Our Commitment
Samildanach Arts is designed for long-term school use, not short-term pricing tactics.
This policy ensures that:
-
teachers can recommend resources confidently
-
principals can approve purchases without concern
-
schools can plan multi-year use safely
